Lightweight shredding

I made two composites at a place I used to work (Cascade Composites), using scrap carbon and fiberglass (and new trucks).

One uses a cutoff of an aluminum honeycomb fiberglass sandwich, with reinforced truck mounts. The other was built from the ground up with a foam core and 8 layers of carbon fiber. Both ride okay, but they feel a bit weird without any contour to the top surface.

The picture on the right was from a single-day trip to the Netherlands. I took the board as a carry-on to speed up my commute between the airport and the university, where I was advising a student project.
